Angelina Jolie Voight was born in Los Angeles California on June 4, 1975. She is the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. 

Angelina made her screen debut alongside her father, Jon Voight, in the Lookin’ to Get Out in 1982. 

Before she really got into acting, Angelina began modeling at the age of 14.

Growing up, Angelina was fascinated with death and told people she wanted to be a funeral director when she grew up. 

She believes that thinking about death all the time helps her appreciate life more than most people. 

Jolie is actually a natural blonde. Her mother began dying in dark when she was younger and the actress has kept it this way ever since.

She has one brother, James Haven, who is also an actor.

Growing up, her favorite type of animal was reptiles. She had a lizard and few pet snakes. 

Angelina’s father, Jon Voight, played her father in Tomb Raider.

Her first major role was computer genius, Kate, in the 1995 film Hackers. She was 20 years old at the time and her character was a hit.

In 2005, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt co-starred in the hit movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The two fell in love while filming. The two have six children together, three of which are adopted and the other three are their biological children. 

In 2006, the couple created the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to help children in third world around the globe.

Pitt and Jolie were married in 2014 after almost ten years together. They filed for divorce in 2016.  

In 2003, Jolie was honored with the Citizen of the World Award by the United Nations. She visited 20 different countries to celebrate. 

In 2005, the King of Cambodia made Jolie an official citizen of the country due to how much charity work she did there.

Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, tragically passed away in 2007 after a losing battle with ovarian cancer. 

When Jolie started having children, she got tattoos in their honor that cover up her Billy Bob Thornton ink. 

A few years ago, Angelina found out that she carries a gene which will almost certainly give her breast cancer. The actress made the decision to have a double mastectomy. After this, she became an advocate for Breast Cancer education.
