“I was admitted to the ER at 8 a.m. and was told my appendix was way too big and that it needed to be removed before it burst. They didn’t get me into surgery until 7 p.m., and I wasn’t allowed to eat this whole time.

My now husband was by my side the whole time, and once I was out of surgery, we ordered a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Johns, but it was absolute trash. It was a super lame Valentine’s Day.”
