Semen is produced in the prostate gland.

Semen has one job, and that is to carry the sperm cells outside of the body in order fertilize a female’s egg.

Before becoming semen, sperm are stored in the epididymis – a tube which connects the testicles to the vas deferens. The tube then moves mature sperm from the testicles. Finally the prostate makes seminal fluid to mix with the sperm, creating semen.

Pre-cum or pre-ejaculate contains little to no sperm. If it does, the sperm is typically immobile and likely will not result in the female getting pregnant.

At a size of about 0.05 millimeters long, sperm cells are far too small to be seen by the naked eye.

Millions upon millions of sperm cells are divided and created every single day.

On average, the amount of semen released upon ejaculation is right around 1 teaspoon.

Although semen allergies are rare, they do occur. Allergic reactions are mainly caused by proteins contained in the semen.

We can confirm that hot tubs ARE NOT friendly when it comes to semen. Sperm can only survive a few seconds in jacuzzi temperatures. Sperm can survive on hard surfaces, but only for as long as it takes the semen to dry up.

The human body produces semen most efficiently for men in their 20s. As we age, sperm isn’t always as viable.
