"Books like this" It's called a text book, dummy. Pretty sure they still have those. You wrote your name in them because you were responsible for turning them back in at the end of the year. If you didn't, your parents had to pay for it.

responsible- adjective; having an obligation to do something, as part of one's job or role

My Grandma had a magazine called Reminisce, full of random pics from the mid to early 1900's. To me, this picdump is like what that magazine was to her.
