#2 Another mistruth that continues to circle the internet.
According to Plutarch, only men who died in battle and women who died while holding a religious office should have their name inscribed on their tombstone.
Spartan women who died in childbirth could be seen as having made no contribution to the state in their attempt and therefore, were not accorded any special status for their death.
There is literally no historical evidence whatsoever about women who died in childbirth having gravestones and none have ever been found, while many have been found with the names of priestesses.

#3 Who cares about anything that guy does? That's about as interesting as telling me about a carpet store owner from the mid-west named Roy Parsons, who spends time reminiscing about his high school football glory days and then beats cancer only to die in the carpet store falling off a ladder.
Actually, Roy's story is many times more interesting.....

From iovs.arvojournals.org "The third eye, commonly known as the parietal eye, is a non-visual, photosensitive parapineal organ found in most lizards, frogs, the tuatara, and some species of fish. The parietal eye of the lizard is remarkably well developed, possessing a lens, cornea, and retina, but little else is currently known about this organ."
