Idk, how many children are in the US? This sounds like one of those "BS" stats that sounds like bs but isn't but only because they don't explain the whole story. Like
there are roughly 46 million children under the age of 11 in the US as of 2022. I would say a large percentage of those children would believe brown cows=chocolate milk. Add in a few 100k really dumb/gullible people In higher ranges and you could probable easily come to that number. Then, 23mil Americans is a catcher headline that drives clicks than 23mil children and reinforces the "haha Americans are dumb" stereotype the rest of the world loves to latch onto and bam technically true headline
