the false red circle in the picture of the scary hallway is actually intentional... the red circle will distract you from the scary face. so you will not expect anything scary until your eyes catch that face. it is much shocking and scary that way you know, than putting the red circle on the face. the concept very resembles a flash animation i found a long time ago where at first it show a pleasant view of the stonehenge and descriptions about an indian guy (if im not mistaken), and then...BAM!! a ghost face appear...
