Once these people committed to get these crazy tattoo on their faces, necks, backs, hands and everywhere else they must have known there was no going back. It is hard to imagine how most of these people are able to eke out a living, if they are not in a rock band or a freak show.

5- airbrushed. not tattooed. The guy is even holding an air brush, not a tattoo machine.

15- face paint. also, not tattooed.

As for wondering how they are able to make a living? A lot of them are probably tattoo artists or body piercers themselves and a few of them look old enough to be retired and no longer need to conform to what businesses consider a "professional appearance". Many businesses that have a work force that doesn't typically deal with the public are relaxed about tattoos.

Being an artist myself, I support tattoos... but I've never liked facial tattoos.
