It’s even painful to look at such photos. The saddest thing is that their self-image is so distorted that they still think they are fat.

My friend came up with Anemia (BuliMIA and ANorexia) for both. She was Anemic. She tried her hardest to get out of eating but when she did eat she'd puke it. She was also a cutter, but...
Cheers
aka, the simple fact of the matter is that they CAN 'eat a sandwich', but they WON'T. there's nothing phsyically hindering them to the point where they simply 'cannot' eat. so, as crudely put as the comment above is, it's right.
on the other hand, just because something is possible, that doesn't mean it's easy. technically you're right too, in equal crudeness.
speaking from the standpoint of someone who's struggled with eating disorders, in the end it all boils down to acceptance and will power.
you have to accept that there's something wrong with you, accept that you ARE capable of stopping, and you have to have the WILL to stop.
both sides of this argument annoy me because both sides hold equal ignorance and are still trying to scream that they're right (and in some very small sense they are), but actually they're both more wrong than anything.
anorexia is not a 'stupid disease' but neither is it something 'they just can't help'.
the first statement is so close minded, flippant, and detached that it makes me sick, and the second is nothing more than an over defensive excuse to justify a terrible way of life.
if people, victims and onlookers alike, would stop yelling mindlessly at each other for a moment, maybe they'd learn enough to stop having these mindsets.
maybe then much more could actually be DONE to FIX the problem.
awareness could be raised and people could help themselves and each other.
because that's what articles and pictures like these are really about.
That's a different story then the "real" anorexia 'cause the real ones aren't proud of themselves at all.
At the time I took the pictures, I was very unwell- both physically and psychologically and had little insight into the damage that could come from sharing the images. I was a lonely and troubled young girl who was desperately seeking somewhere to belong... finding people online who I felt 'understood' my pain was all that I felt I had. In hindsight, I now realise that a lot of those people were full of sh*t.
I did have "real" anorexia. It was very real, stole years from my life and very nearly killed me on several occasions. It's very difficult to explain the mentality behind sharing those pictures. For once I had people telling me I was doing something right in my life, and as a very insecure young girl, it felt nice to have people tell me that I wasn't a complete failure.
Don't judge until you understand each and every person individually. Yes, some people are 'pro ana', but I always loathed that group of idiots. I've lost close friends to the disease and have been left with lifelong health implications because of it.
I would say that, were it not FOR the encouraging attitudes of the pro ana crap, the people who egged me on to lose weight in those early days, I probably never would have got as ill as I did.
i think that they are battling with their illness day by day they want to eat but they CANT they are afraid of gaining weight ..............it is a psychological illness!!!!
that is their opinion ....he does not know anything about Anorexia!!!!!
that is where his joke comment came from lack of education !!!

they can hear and see what your visually thinking
the reason alot of asians have completely expressionless faces, only associate with asians and dont associate with non asians very much is to avoid accidentally revealing that they can read read minds, if all over a billion asians were to show facial expressions all the time just as much as non asians, associate with non asians much more, and be much more friendly and talkative, then alot of them might accidentally reveal that they can read minds by accidentally showing a facial expression or dirty look when someone thinks, or visually pictures something in their mind they dont like or find astonishing or funny, and if they were all to associate with non asians alot more there would be alot more people around for them to accidentally show facial expressions when those other people think things they dont like, so they only associate with asians so there wont be anyone around for them to see that and have any accidents happen in the first place
think about it, its not normal how alot of them act, and the entire way they act is all to hide their mind reading abilities, it makes perfect sense to do all of that to hide that they can read minds, because all of that is the perfect way to do it!
every single asian on the planet is hiding their mind reading abilities, they value hiding their mind reading abilities more then their own lives!
thats why nobody knows about it!
try thinking, best yet visually picturing in your mind something something absolutely crazy as you possibly can when you are around asians, and try looking for asians who give people particular looks, especially dirty looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, that is them giving people looks when they hear and visually see someone thinking something they dont like, find funny or astonishing
it still happens despite a large number of them having completely expressionless faces all the time, it would just happen alot more if none of them had completely expressionless faces all the time, its not uncommon!
i know this sounds crazy, impossible, and completely unbelievable, BUT IT ISNT CRAZY WHEN ITS TRUE
you have to spread the message!!!
the world has to know about this!!!!
They highlight the girls with big boobs, big butts and that are skinny.
Maybe there should be a better view of all shapes and sizes of every part of the body, then anorexia, bulimia and any other disease may decrease. Just a thought though.
Anorexia IS a disease , even if they wanted to eat they couldn't. Please.
in true italian style!
You may think that it's better to have some lovehandles and "curves" (fat), but those girls don't. They think it's better to have some bones and a flat belly rather than lovehandles and fat all over. Everybody has a right to choose for themselves what "beauty" means to them. But don't go around telling others with different opinions than yourself that they're wrong and need to gain or lose weight.
I think skinny girls are hot and because I am fat ("normal", "goodlooking", whatever you'd like to call it. I'm a size 3) I choose not to wear bikinis. I envy normal girls (like myself) that actually think they look good and dare to wear bikinis to the beach even though there are no gap between their thights and their lovehandles are bulging out. I could NEVER do that, because it disgust me too much.
But don't go around telling me, or anybody else, that they're wrong. How do you know YOU'RE not wrong? Because most people agree with you? Well... Don't you think there are a LOT OF anorexic, bulimics and ednos (google it) that would agree with the skinny ones? Everybody's right and everybody's wrong at the same time. Beauty is a state of mind.

Let them be raised in lower middle class and see if they complain about eating too much.
Eat 3 small-ish meals that have the nutrition they need and go from there.
baby step to rebuild their health :) good luck on their behalf. ^_^
I do not wish for these images to be used as 'thinspiration', and whilst that isn't the intent of this page specifically- I know from past experience that sufferers will seek out these sort of things for self-deprecating purposes.
Anorexia is a devastating, cruel illness. The way the media trivialises and glamourises it is a disgrace.
ugly people attention fuck ups
The devil has took over their mind, body, soul, and spirit.
