We most certainly have dress codes in the Western world as well. You cannot wear just any kind of clothes at every occasion, and which clothes are acceptable is definitely determined by sex.

Most of all: You are certainly required to cover up specific parts of your body. In our part of the world, those parts requiring cover may differ slightly from other parts of the world, but our rules are just as absolute.
