An Israeli woman threw out an old mattress - not realising it was stuffed with her mother's $1million life-savings. She came to a landfill in Tel Aviv to find the missing mattress. Some of the workers helped her to do it.

Hi!
Friday is almost here, but as for now, let’s work and have a good time on Izi )
We decided to do an unprecedented experiment. Today we remove smileys until the end of the next week.
Why? I already wrote several times that the use of some smileys and emoticons - is not the expression of opinion in the comments, but is just laziness to think and write something interesting.
Some of our visitors, willing to be on first place in the "Most active commentators", use only smileys.
Now we will see who really wants to talk, leave their opinion, listen to the others and to have a discussion with other people.
I really hope that there are a lot of such people on the site and we eventually will have a great communication
:)
And in this situation, I support all those people who are against smileys on the site at all.
If you think that your English is bad, it’s not that big a deal, write your comment anyway. No one’s here to judge your language skills. In any case, it would be better than to leave a non-significant smiley.
But it will only last one week. And then we decide if it’s worth to return the smileys or not. May be we will leave 10 the most usable.

Teenager Aimee Kick, 18, has created a prom dress entirely out of coffee filters in Missouri, U.S.

Office Agents, a Tokyo-based company, rents out friends, work colleagues and even relatives to pad out the guest list.
For £127, one of the company’s agents will attend the wedding as a guest, while a heart-tugging speech will cost an extra £64 and a song or dance will set clients back a mere £32.
Brides or grooms who want to impress their prospective partners with their sheer volume of friends are among those secretly padding the guest list with fakes.
The recession has also boosted the popularity of the service. With unemployment rising and a growing number of Japanese in part time jobs, people rent fake bosses or colleagues.
Others turning to the company for fake work-related guests are those who have recently lost their jobs but want to maintain an air of respectability, according to Hiroshi Mizutani, who heads Office Agents.

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Sweden's Pirate Party, striking a chord with voters who want more free content on the Internet, won a seat in the European Parliament, early results showed on Sunday.
The Pirate Party captured 7.1 percent of votes in Sweden in the Europe-wide ballot, enough to give it a single seat. The party wants to deregulate copyright, abolish the patent system and reduce surveillance on the Internet.

Other pictures on the social networking site show staff pointing their backsides at the camera, while another reveals a nurse posing while cleaning a pool of blood off the floor of the operating theatre with a piece of plastic.

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel in central Bangkok, Thailand. A police official said Carradine was found hanging by a rope in the room's closet.
Four worms
A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.
The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.
At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol - Dead
The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead
Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead
Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.
So the Minister asked the congregation – What did you learn from this demonstration???
Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said, ‘As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won’t have worms!’
That’s how they celebrated Mardi Gras in 1900. It looks like fun )

On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel in central Bangkok, Thailand. A police official said Carradine was found hanging by a rope in the room's closet.
Four worms
A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars.
The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.
The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.
The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.
The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.
At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol - Dead
The second worm in cigarette smoke - Dead
Third worm in chocolate syrup - Dead
Fourth worm in good clean soil - Alive.
So the Minister asked the congregation – What did you learn from this demonstration???
Maxine was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said, ‘As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won’t have worms!’

A $2 Million 1995 McLaren F-1 Coupe was destroyed today after the engine caught fire. The owner had not driven the car in 6 months which probably explains why it had engine problems. There were only about 100 Mclaren F1's produced and at least 6 have been destroyed in crashes. This one happened on Airport Blvd in Santa Rosa, CA.

Tetris turns 25. The game was created by a 29-year-old Russian programmer called Alexey Pajitnov, who said he knew he had devised a hit game when he could not stop playing it. Now, a quarter of a century later, the game has sold more than 70 million copies around the world and is still going strong. Tetris is so ingrained in popular culture that it’s inspired everything from clothing to jewellery, bricks, ice cube trays, children's cushions....
Lucky the cat, who truly happens to be very lucky, fell 26 stories and was immediately rushed to NYC Veterinary Specialists. Board certified veterinary critical care specialists immediately took care of Lucky and were happy to see he had minor injuries.

Tenants of one apartment in Denver found out that the mirror in their bathroom was actually a two-way mirror. There was a 6-inch hole in wall behind the mirror which lead into a maintenance closet. The entire bathroom was well visible. The tenants moved and were fully reimbursed by the owner. Obviously, the police were also notified.

A Chinese woman suffering from chronic headaches discovered she had had a 3.3 cm long bullet lodged in her face, next to her ear, for 42 years!
When doctors showed the 65-year-old the pictures she told them she had no idea how the bullet could have got there. Then she recalled being injured during China's Cultural Revolution in 1967 when someone fired a pistol next to her head during a protest. Clickable.

Each roll carries several copies of a new nine-chapter novella written by Koji Suzuki, the Japanese author of the horror story "Ring," which has been made into movies in both Japan and Hollywood.
"Drop," set in a public restroom, takes up about three feet (90 centimeters) of a roll and can be read in just a few minutes, according to the manufacturer, Hayashi Paper.
The company promotes the toilet paper, which will sell for 210 yen ($2.20) a roll, as "a horror experience in the toilet."

In a country where ghosts are traditionally believed to hide in the loo, a Japanese company is advertising a new literary experience — a horror story printed on toilet paper.
Each roll carries several copies of a new nine-chapter novella written by Koji Suzuki, the Japanese author of the horror story "Ring," which has been made into movies in both Japan and Hollywood.
"Drop," set in a public restroom, takes up about three feet (90 centimeters) of a roll and can be read in just a few minutes, according to the manufacturer, Hayashi Paper.
The company promotes the toilet paper, which will sell for 210 yen ($2.20) a roll, as "a horror experience in the toilet."

I can't believe that even a Russian could drink enough to make this seem like a good idea.
Two Russian tourists who challenged a Florida law prohibiting sexual relationship with a porcupine have had to undergo a lengthy treatment for genital inflammation.
Anton, 32, and Yevgeny, 30, residents of St. Petersburg, were spending their vacation in the United States with a group of friends, Life.ru website reports.
At some point in their journey, the two got hold of a booklet listing the weirdest US laws. Since they were in Florida, their attention was drawn to a Florida law prohibiting sex with porcupines.
After a good deal of whiskey, the Russians felt curious about what might have prompted the law, and went in search of the animal.
Within one hour, a porcupine was found, and Anton and Yevgeny were drunk and brave enough to take off their pants and approach it.
The next morning, both were standing at the Cedars Sinai clinic in Los Angeles, where amazed doctors plucked porcupine needles from their penises.
Had the two not fled from Florida quickly enough, they would have had to face the law they had breached.
Back in Russia, both men had to undergo a lengthy treatment of inflammation caused by the porcupine needles.
Obviously, the two learned nothing from the story of the Russian man who in January lost half of his penis after trying to force a raccoon into oral sex.
I can't even decide which is more WTF-worthy, sodomizing a porcupine or oral sex from a raccoon.. via wtf_inc
